From 18 – 26 January was Boot Düsseldorf 2020. Where Natural Yachts was presenting the first zero-emission line Northman Yachts. These yachts are 100% electric with a Fuel Cell range extender. Meaning you can boat completely independent of shore power.
Northman Nexus Revo 870 – Convertible – Electric On the largest boat show of the world, the Northman Nexus Revo 870 – Convertible – Electric had its premiere. This yacht has a length of 8,70 m and is 2,90 m width, its smart design gives you immediately the feeling of spaciousness when you enter. The yacht is equipped with a 100% electric system, from heating, to the hot water system and cooking on induction, everything for the hotel function of the yacht is electric. The propulsion system is electric as well and the combination with the fuel cell range extender makes the yacht independent of shore power and very comfortable.
The Northman 1200 Flybridge Not only the Northman Nexus Revo 870 had its premiere on Boot Düsseldorf, also the Northman 1200 Flybridge. With the Flybridge you can steer and relax on the roof while overlooking your surroundings. The Northman 1200 Flybridge has a length of 12,26 and is 3,50 width, it features 3 cabins for two persons and 2 bathrooms with each a toilet, sink and shower. The Northman 1200 is a modern looking yacht and offers a spacious living area which has a strong connection with the outside. As the living space is situated on the upper deck and you can open the bi-fold doors to the swimming platform.
The start of the Maritime Energy Transition
On the boat show Natural Yachts with its system integrator Electric Ship Facilities have launched the Methanol Based Fuel Cell. The Methanol Based Fuel Cell is produces green energy for your propulsion system and to charge the batteries for the hotel function. With the Fuel Cell onboard you can boat zero-emission and in silence, while being independent of shore power.
This innovation has attracted a lot of attention from the visitors of Boot Düsseldorf, from people who are familiar with electric boating but always feel they are limited by their range, or from people who are new to electric boating and see this as a comfortable and conscious solution.
